Increíble el primer animal que soñó con otro animal. Monstruoso el primer vertebrado que logró incorporarse sobre dos pies
y así esparció el terror entre las bestias normales que aún se arrastraban, con alegre y natural cercanía, por el fango creador. Asombrosos el primer telefonazo. el primer hervor, la primera canción y el primer taparrabos.
Hacia las cuatro de la mañana de un catorce de julio, Polo Febo, dormido en su alta bohardilla de puerta y ventanas abiertas,
soñó lo anterior y se disponía a contestarse a sí mismo.

feet and thus spread terror among the beasts still normally and happily crawling close to the ground through the slime of creation. Astounding the first telephone call, the first boiling water, the fisrt song, the first loincloth.

wide, dreamed these things, and prepared to answer them himself.
